LGA Maker Space Construction Underway!

The end of the 2018-19 school marked the beginning of something new at the Lander-Grinspoon Academy in Northampton, Massachusetts. Thanks to funding from the David Lear Sulman Fund construction has begun on the new Maker/Art Space at LGA! Construction is scheduled to run through the month of July and part of August with construction scheduled to be completed prior to the start of the 2019-20 school year. The Maker/Art Space is being constructed on the lower floor of the building and will convert two existing classrooms and a portion of the hallway into the new space. In addition to plenty of storage, the space also features a new exterior doorway and a glass wall that will allow more light into the room while also showcasing activities in the rooms. Students and teachers are excited about the possibilities that the new spaces will facilitate for teaching and learning at LGA. Stay tuned for more updates as the summer progresses!
